Every breath of heated or cooled air travels through your ducts before it reaches you. When they leak, that air ends up in the attic or the walls, and dusty, unfiltered air can be drawn back in. Sound ductwork is one of the most valuable, and most overlooked, parts of a comfortable, healthy home.
20 to 30 percent
Why ducts matter
In a typical home, about 20 to 30 percent of the air moving through the ducts is lost through leaks, holes and poorly connected sections, according to ENERGY STAR. The result is higher bills and rooms that never quite reach the temperature on the thermostat.
Leaks work in both directions. Where return ducts leak, they can pull in dust, insulation fibers and attic air, bypassing your filter entirely. Sealing them is as much about the air you breathe as the energy you save.

- Ducts in the attic or crawlspace that are crushed, kinked, disconnected or patched with cloth tape
What we do
Assessment and testing
We inspect your ductwork and can measure how much it leaks, so decisions are based on numbers rather than guesswork.
Sealing
We seal joints, seams and connections with durable mastic and approved tapes, never ordinary cloth duct tape, which dries out and fails.
Repair and insulation
We reconnect, replace and reinsulate damaged sections, especially in hot attics where uninsulated ducts lose the most energy.
Replacement and redesign
Where ducts are too old, too small or badly laid out, we design and install a new system that delivers air evenly to every room.
Ducts and California's energy code
When heating or cooling equipment is replaced, California usually requires the ducts to be tested for leakage and, where needed, sealed, with the result verified by an independent rater. If you are planning a new system, we include your ducts in the plan from the start.
